I actively listen. I hold space for what needs more room and guide making exit plans for what needs to take up less room. Turning down the volume on how intense the hurt is—or loosening how hard it freezes you up—that’s the intention of the work together.
How I Know What I’m Doing
I have been practicing social work for 15 years. Formally educated at Temple University and La Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (2010), and the Smith College School for Social Work (2013), I am privileged to spend my career in the real world of people's inner, complicated and unjust lives. My work has spanned in-home, educational, criminal justice, child welfare, primary healthcare, crisis response, and addiction recovery settings. Whether a case manager, clinician, supervisor or shareholder, I advocate for, support, and empower those I serve, challenging authority along the way and using my own privilege to push for socially just outcomes. I see progress when people can find validation in connection.
Board certified in 2014 and independently licensed in Massachusetts in 2017, I became a Certified Grief Informed Professional in 2024 and completed the Massachusetts Department of Public Health Domestic Violence Counselor training in 2019.
